With weather having passed as a factor in corn, the focus will now turn to harvest progress, yield reports, exports, and South America.
While ending stocks of soybeans rose 30 MB to 185 MB in the September report, stocks-to usage remain extremely tight at 4.2 percent.
Ending stocks of wheat continue to decline and are their lowest since 2016 at 615 MB.
Tuesday’s inflation data has some investors cheering. The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reported that year-over-year growth in its widely followed Consumer Price Index (CPI) fell modestly for the first time in months.

We are leery of reading too much into the price action during quadruple expiry weeks because a lot of the action (and the volatility) is directly attributable to large futures and options positions being rolled over.

In the week ending September 11, the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial claims was 332,000, an increase of 20,000 from the previous week's revised level. The previous week's level was revised up by 2,000 from 310,000 to 312,000.

Energy Prices Surge
Stocks were up across the board on a bullish U.S. manufacturing report and despite a spike higher in crude oil prices.
Wheat prices fell below short term support around the $7.00 level, but only traded down about 30 cents before turning back higher.
Soybeans have been trading inside a small and tight range for the last two or three weeks and have just begun to move higher.
Feeders have followed the Live Cattle down over the last few weeks with the exception that feeder prices hung around their highs for about seven days before breaking down.
Corn prices have also been able to turn their short term trends back up right after the USDA Crop Production report released last Friday.
Cash trade this week came in around $124 which seems to see some little improvement week over week even though cash prices are still way behind beef prices which are currently trading at historically high levels
Cotton prices have traded in the middle of a trading range for over a month and no clear cut direction.
